Well I will be making $600/month very soon and have got some money saved up (From IM obv.)

Now the pc is great but there are a lot of power cuts and loadshedding in my country so it is impossible to work. It's a cuo 2 duo btw with a monitor(Yes they still exist)

So basically my budget is $450 MAX.

I only do YT + CPA + Planning to do seo later on.Not much needed but what should I go for?
I would like a small laptop though!

What do you suggest!

Edit - Short listed these (All about the same price)
Acer Aspire E1-751
Hp 630
Samsung Series 3 Np300E5v
Dell Vostro 2521

Still open to suggestions :D

I would recommend the ASUS K55N since you can get them for fairly cheap, but I'm not sure where you're @(in terms of country pricing).
It's an a8 quad APU, which is plenty for what you require.

I managed to pick up a ASUS K55N(as a backup) for $300 @ bestbuy just a month ago though.
It's 15.6" and not a netbook/probook/travelmate/ETC if you're wanting something shorter than 14".

You really don't need much for what you're doing. Video production tends to call for more, but that depends on your multi-tasking.
Most ASUS laptops come w/ 1600mhz mem. APU's really shine w/ higher ram speeds.

A laptop is a good idea for places where you're dealing w/ power outages. That's if you're not constantly mobile.
A laptop will switch to the battery if it's 12v source dies out(power outage), so you wont lose shit that way.

I would also opt for a keyboard/mouse combo and a hdmi cable(if you currently have a TV or monitor handy).
Then windows 7 (legit or not), if you don't want to deal w/ windows hate(8).
For SEO(later on you said), I would nut up and just look for a VPS. Most people don't even bullshit w/ home/office computers for half the shit(programs) they run.

Since you're climbing in terms of IM, you're going to want to backup your shit (if you're not already).
Most laptops have USB 3, which a USB3 flash drive can work nicely.
Can also get an eSata/USB3 external drive and run it in a mirroring array or just use something like sugarsync, dropbox or skydrive (or maybe even a VPS if you want to roll that way).

Thanks for taking out the time to write this. Will check it out :)

As sogeking said I'd check eBay or Amazon, they have the best prices !

Whatever you do, pay the extra $100 for a SSD hard drive. A weaker model, with a SSD drive, will feel like a much more expensive machine.

SSD is nice but may restrict the size of your storage, 8 GB ram is an even better investment. If you can squeeze it in get a laptop with discrete graphics.

Guys I don't have e-bay or Amazon in my country :(

Also just looking for a simple one..searched a lot but whichever I find out..I read the reviews and there are reviews like..stucks,lags etc.

Buy the best Lenovo or maybe Dell in your price range. Don't even consider crap like Asus or Acer (no offense to their users, in some situations it might be justified to buy such a laptop). About SSD - I don't have it in ny of my computers but it seems like a good thing for your operating system, I wouldn't store any user's data on it though, I don't trust it. (that's just my personal opinion)

CRAP like Asus or Acer really?

tell me one thing what products do Lenovo or Dell manufacture???

OP take my suggestion GO for Asus or Acer...

STOP giving people rubbish suggestions when you do not know what to buy just an FYI DELL AND LENOVO do not manufacture a shit all they do is outsource..

You guys thank you for these great suggestions.
Will be hunting for an Asus/Acer/Lenovo.
We don't have electricity for 8+ hours a day so it is a necessity.

What do you guys think of an acer chromebook? A couple of people suggested it to me.

I have the ACER Aspire one.
small.
Cheap.
Will do everything you have stated you need to do..

Good luck!

Yeah, that would be cool. although i hat Windows 8, i still would want to stick to windows 7. I suggest you add a power bank to your list its very good too. it would cost something close to or more that $100

The Acer looks quite okay to me :D with these specs
Intel Core i3 @ 2.4 GHz
4 GB ram
500 GB HDD

am tired of hp, i am using hp 620 and i wont want to use the snr brother soon and bad reviews about it on youtube, so its off
Windows 7

I have never like samsung for anything, lol :p

The dell looks cool, and i know it should have a good battery life so still stuck too. any new idea on what to get would be good

I would take the acer, solid laptops and of course a well known brand who definitly knows how to build their products properly.

All right let's buy the same one.
Well samsung ..err I don't know.
Dell is pretty good as well but man seriously the acer is the best choice.I too want windows 7 but hey..nothing we can do about it!

So let's go for the aspire :)

Those are okay laptops but if I were you I would continue to save up so I can purchase a better laptop :p

Are you planning to buy it online? If you don't have ebay or Amazon, then where are you going to buy it? You said you don't have Light for like 8hours per day.? What country is that? Nigeria? Jamaica? If you always have power outage, then go a PC that has around 5hours battery power.,
