What languages should i learn to build an ecommerce website?

Hi guys, i was coding on Python for about a year, also coded microcontrollers with assembly for about a year too. I know a little of html and css, now, i see there are a lot of people looking to hire someone to build their ecommerce site. I know i can grab wordpress an reduce the amount of work, but what languages should i start studying to be able to build this kind of site? I really want to work as a freelancer in the future.

Language doesn't really mater. You can use Python and for example Django framework

In order to build one from scratch you're going to need knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML and CSS. However there are lots of great eCommerce platforms that you can build upon that can save you a lot of time. Try looking at WordPress and WooCommerce. It's completely free and open source, very powerful and it'll save you a lot of time.

for the site's functionality, i suggest you learn jquery, php, sql. since you already got some basic knowledge in html and css.

I'd say you try to get your first client first, then you solve it from there. You already have all the free tools to get started and done with this. Best of lucks!

Important languages for web design are 5: html, css, php, SQL, JavaScript

Continue to learn HTML and CSS. Then SQL will be a plus. If you want to write a very nice site, will have to bother with JavaScript or PhP

U dont need any language. Just take wordpress ecomerce or oxid shop and adjust it to your needs, maybe some html and php skills requered...

first of all start with basic html/css then move to php...
but...
start with learning because messing with eCommerce is not easy at all..

I believe that for a high quality website, you need to combine a lot of languages. I dont think there is any more important language than the other because they complement each other.may it be, PHP,HTML,CSS, java..For the site to be attractive you need these languages working together to perfection. Tale your time to master them one by one. All the best
