Hello everyone, so I been growing my IG page for some time. And 3 weeks ago I finally hit the jackpot, all of my post’s started trending on Explore page, I had 4k followers at the time, every post got crazy amount of followers, a have a few post’s with over 100k likes. Page was growing like crazy, 1k+ followers every day, seemed like I’m going to the moon.

Until 3 days ago, I woke up to notification that one of my posts were removed for selling drugs? Fuck is that? I post weed memes, and that ones particular meme had nothing to do with selling drugs. I wanted to appeal the removal, but there was on option for me to do that. And since then looks like I got shadow banned, not a single post after that got into explore page, I dont even get reach from hashtags anymore. Post’s are only reaching my followers now and the growth is almost none. What are the options? Will the ban be removed? Or is my account done?

you should be more careful, social media are sensitive when it comes to drugs, it's a risk to post even if it's a harmless meme

Well, the whole page is weed niche, so I don’t think IG is agains’t weed jokes, there are some pages with over 5M followers

Drugs, harm, dark humour, political jokes are very sensitive niches and should be dealt with carefully.

Too much attention on any such account can invite a thorough check and any kind of reports are taken very seriously.

Being in such niches is like playing with fire. You'll get burned sooner or later. Stay far away from political, nudity and drugs related posts.

Well, even if you're not sharing anything illegal you must understand that particular niches are very sensitive and that's one of the cons about being attached to a platform that does not belong to you, its that they can terminate your account whenever they want.
Even if they terminate your account without any proper reason, they have the power to do it and you must have the incentive to talk to them to have the account back, not otherwise.

For example, I got my Fiverr account once flagged because a major competitor with +1 Seller Level than me, reported me without any reason (All I was doing was 100% whitehat and according the platform ToS) and that same competitor as doing something in the same niche but blackhat, and my gig's got deleted and my account flagged and that guy its still today doing does same gig's and making more money. For you to have an idea, I was making more then 4 digits a month with 3 hours of daily work, now imagine that guy.

So people do not understand what is being attached to other's platforms, even if you're doing everything right you can have your account terminated and get screwed.
Lesson: Play safe

Instagram is really really sensitive about drugs! Not sure why but it just is. Any hashtag with canabis or even liking too many posts in this domain leads to shadow bans. My friend went through this issue and she eventually just created a new page as her ig went numb after this! Similar to what is happening with you.

Posting memes on such topics is like playing with fire, you apparently burned it all :D
