What kind of hash/code is this?

I didn't really know where to put this thread/post. Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I'm wondering if anyone knows what kind of hash/code this is, and if so, how to decode it. Its either written like this:

Where did you find it? Add more details, doesn't look familiar to me

its an email code. When I receive emails from a particular company, they are written as: [email protected]

I notice that the first part (m06cp) changes slightly based off the department that emails me. So i think the actual email is the 40 characters that comes after this first 5.

I'd like to decipher exactly who is sending me these emails.
