Hey everyone
Im looking to buy a new computer for my business
I currently work on a Apple computer
the Mac G5

I need mainly a windows computer
because im interested in some softwares that only operate on windows

So, I wanted too know
what computer you guys/women/everything in between use?

I need a very stable computer like a mac
=D

Any Suggestions?

I build all my work stations my self but you can get a nice set up at

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com

highly recommended that you get dual screens if not more ;)

any model you recommend in particular?
you know where to get dual screens for a decent price?

they will allow you to add dual screens to your order

it really depends on your price range

What i can suggest is either ibm, hp or msi notebook.

they run long, reliable and never break.

:)

around 1k - 1.5k
Im interested in multi-screen computers though
=D

Primary box is HP and will never buy anything but top-line HP again.

Other boxes are Dell which would be a distant second choice.

well then that one i post is a pretty good deal, dell, Sony, HP all crap i wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot poll plus they charge more for the name and they also trow on a bunch of shit software

Just how i feel, many people own them but it doesn't make them better a well brand product will always sell better then a good product, simple because people feel it's better not always the case

I recommend Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600. Best computer I've ever had :)

I only have good words for HP. Bought a laptop a year ago, felt on the floor about 100 times, using it 6 hours a day minimum, transporting it around in a generic bag... nothing, not a single flaw. A few scratches, but nothing is broken, and always stable (if you exclude the crappy windows)

I'm thinking of getting one of those in the near future.

I'm still a Mac only guy. Just install Windows through bootcamp and you will never have to worry about that weird ass OS crunking up your computer. I know it's hard to be a black hatter with a mac with all of the windows only programs out there, but it's very much worth not having to worry about every little pos file you download taking your whole system down with it.

Stay with your mac, dedicate 20-30 gigs for windows, and keep your nose in the air.

Yea mac's are pretty kick ass never owned one would like to don't think i would allow it to take over my pc usage but then again never tough my phone would be an APPLE lol

I use an old dell 4550 from 2000 and a two year old HP. Both have been very reliable for me.

I use linux boxes I built myself. One of my old machines is dual boot which works in a pinch when a windows app will not run on wine.

If you like the macs, I would stay with it and just run windows in parallels.

Consider infonec.com if your considering ordering in canada area.

Specs of my box:
Q6600
Radeon HD 4850
Asus II Striker Formula
22" HD LCD monitor
