DA is more of a byproduct than the thing to chase. Focus on links from real sites with decent topical relevance, some actual traffic, and a natural mix of referring domains, and the DA usually moves up over time.
Also worth remembering DA is only a Moz metric, so I’d look more at rankings, traffic, and indexing than the number itself.

Guest posts , Niche relevant blogs and real editorial links are more likely to move the needle more in terms of authority than random directory or spam links . Also try to keep your backlink profile natural with varied anchor text and steady growth over time instead of sudden spikes .

anchor text diversity matters a lot for DA growth. if all your links use exact match anchors it looks unnatural to moz and google both. mix branded, naked urls, and generic anchors in. also dont build 50 links in one week then nothing for 2 months. steady consistent link velocity moves DA way faster than random spikes.

Good and relevant backlinks help a lot i would focus on relevant sites instead of only choosing high da sites.
