Whats the best tools should i use/ buy to track keywords / monthly searches and keyword competition? Is Long Tail Pro good or any idea what other tool should i buy? thanks in advance

1. Your brain (the most important "tool" you will ever need) - free
2. GKT (Google Keyword Tool) - free
3. Ahrefs/Majestic/Moz for competition research - start with Moz for free (using 4 months trial coupons) and once you make money move to the other 2.

I will recommend you to use Google Adwords and your brain. Google Adwords has everything what you need. Also there is few sites and tools that can help you while you will research keywords.

Brain? Of Course im using it everytime lol. But Bros, im asking this as i still don't have any ideas as im still learning and its still complicated on my side to just use my brain without any tools as i don't have that broad ideas or knowledge when it comes to tons of competitions and keywords to choose on my target niche. hope you understand

are you talking about ideas for an existing project, or you talking about for a new one?

The best thing i find is to take notes of your thinking, as you go along, so you can see how well your assumptions are working out. Most of the time we shoot in the dark, which is fine, but you have to try and remember "why" you shot like that, and how you can do the same or different next time.

Obviously Keyword Planner/Tool, if you want to find more keywords use Long Tail Pro.

I use Google Keyword planner, UberSuggest and Scrapebox.

I manually check competition for each keyword I want to rank for, using also SEO quake for quick stats, and using scrapebox + Majestic Bulk Link Checker when I have money to spent.

:)

how to perform keyword research? any guide for newbies?

There are many different tools. it depends on your goals.
Keyword planner - for closely related niche keywords
Keyword researcher - for long tails
Niche blogs/forums - for new niche and subniche keywords

I think, the google Keyword Planner is the best tools ever. All keywords tool is using the Adwords API for showing result. They actually just used some sort out method, that the easy process for a good keyword analyzer. :)

apart from google keyword tool you must also download mozbar chrome extention. what i usually do is get the keywords from google keyword planner then search the keywords. Thr Mozbar shows the PA and DA of all the results. This will hrlp you gauge the keyword competion. Pretty tedious though but it is all for free

wow, thanks everyone for your help. i really appreciate it bros... thanks again everyone. happy earning to us
