So my site has lost 50% of the traffic from google since the spam update.

Today I was looking at some info in google search console and I noticed the following.

The pages / queries I lost the most traffic on I lost around 50% impressions but I did not lose any positions? I am still ranking in the same position that I did before the update.

So I can only assume that google is taking me out of the index for certain users / searches?

Did anyone else see this?

The same thing happened to me, lost about 50% of traffic and impressions are way down.

SEMRush indicates no changes in position in the optimized keyword; when I manually search incognito, my articles are still in the top spot.

One observation I had when looking at click and impression differences is that highly related keywords I was formally ranking for no longer receive impressions/clicks. For example, my article might be optimized for "How to register an account," and I was also in the top spot for "How to create an account" and "How to complete account registration" without optimizing for those related terms.

Also, one of my articles which generated thousands of clicks a week, was in the top spot and had engagement, was deindexed and all traffic disappeared. It was recently reindexed, but traffic hasn't returned to its former levels yet.

My website is tech-related and mainly focused on educating others and having them sign up for our SaaS product.
The best-ranking content was written by me. I recently hired a small team to leverage AI to generate content, put it through Grammarly, and then through SurferSEO. After that process is complete, I go and enhance the content with my industry knowledge. I also ensure it is accurate/engaging from the perspective of someone in the industry. I honestly don't know how the big G would be able to tell it's AI-generated due to the refinement we do.
