It might sound like a stupid question but I really don't know in which category does yt fit in ? Is it a social media website or what kind of website is it ?
Wikipedia says only that "YouTube is a video-sharing website on which users can upload, share, and view videos blah blah"

If I want to promote a cpa offer on youtube and (lets say that) the offer has these restrictions

INCENTIVE-no EMAIL-no BANNER-ok CONTEXTUAL-ok SEARCH-ok SOCIAL-no COREG.-no

is it ok from the advertiser's point of view that this offer to be promoted on youtube ?

Ofcourse YT is a vedio sharing and social media site. You cannot directly use YT for CPA offers. YOu need to redirect the visitors to your site where you have placed the CPA offer. In that way you can make money.

Yes. You don't even need a website, a blogger/WP blog will suffice.

This is usually required by the CPA company.

If used correctly the blog should increase your conversions.

YouTube is social medial site were u can promote u r services through video. This is the great site.

It is a procrastination tool.

I pushed the "thanks" button for this post of yours but not because you helped me in anyway but because of your sense of humor ...I really laughed a lot when I saw it :aetsch:

IF you want to promote a CPA stuff on YT. Best way to do it is make videos place a link on it the directs to your website that promotes CPA offer. Have some one do some video uploading for you on the site. Have it campaign for more views. That way you get a good chance people would click on the link and visit your CPA sites. That's all thank you.

hope this will help you clear some things a bit....

For some people this was there first method in which they actually made some good money..

But as soon as i tried, i got confused and had no idea on what to do...

Not such a dumb question.

Yes it's a social medis website. But for IM purposes it's a tricky little bleeder. No direct links, and the space for your URL is shrinking all the time.

Dave Shusters report has the idea that captions (which people also put their URL's on) are one of the BIGGEST turn offs on Youtube (unless they convey an idea or add directly to to the video - URL captions apparently are an immediate turn off)

A bucket to hold vids and save you bandwidth. And that's about it.

However the sites you embed the vids on DO benefit, (both on bandwidth savings as well as links, user experience and other stuff)

There are ways to leverage Youtube for IM purposes in a more direct way, but they are now pretty specialist, and frankly, as Youtube slap any IM use the minute they see it I wouldn't bother even starting.

There are plenty of vid sites out there that DO allow a decent amount of IM. Post to the lot.

If you are going to be playing the youtube game with CPA Offers it is a numbers game. Be prepared to upload countless videos. Advertise CPA Offers that have to do with your videos & try to keep track of everything so you know where the money is coming from.

youtube is the world's best video sharing website it will bring you more organic traffic to your site or offer...

How? No outbound links on Youtube.
Written links (i.e none clickable) have a failure rate almost 30x greater than clickable links (average 0.014% follow as opposed to 2% clickthrough)

(source - Google 2009 "Measures of Success" report)

On average that's one in one and a half thousand that will bother to copy and paste the none clickable URL into a browser.

Waste of time and effort.

Good marketers now use Youtube in an entirely different way.

Brand not Product.

WIth no clickable URL's it's about using Youtube to add value to a brand. Embed vids on your own internet real-estate and drive people to THAT rather than Youtube.

Once at Youtube the distractions are so great that the vast majority will have clicked on a "related video" in the sidebar before your effort is even halfway through.

Remember - No clickable links (other than Youtube internal) That's a REAL killer.

So IMO it's best to use Youtube to add value to your brand and embed your (and other people's) videos into your site.

There are tools now to inflate the count on Youtube videos as well (scrapebox won't work) . So Youtube are even changing the algorithm for ranking away from pure numbers to a "numbers over time" algorithm

SO to get a decent ranking vid by spamming it yourself -you're in for a long haul.

Seriously, there are quicker, easier and better ways of promoting your stuff than the cul-de-sac of Youtube.

Other video sites DO allow clickable URL links. (not all but quite a few) Use 'NUke or Mogul or whatever to post to the lot.

Like they say man you play by numbers if you want to play on YT with your CPA.

That simply means submitting tons and loads of videos on YT with your link on video or on the description. It does not matter if those links are redirected or nofollow or you use link shortenings. Does not matter. As long as someone clicks that link and goes to your page. Fill up the form. That is YT for CPA game. ;)
