If you are not verified on Twitter, you can read only 600 posts per day. If verified, then 6000 posts per day. Will it increase their revenue?
i f you watch, I believe twitter is moving away from ad revenue dependence to a "pay to play " approach. So i think they know this, but are expecting more subscription revenue. Most users are unverified. Less eyes on posts therefore they will lose ad revenue. Bad idea!
It is still not clear to me that just scrolling these many posts will count or not. Many users reported yesterday that they see error of limit reached.I won't need to read more than 600 posts per day
Lets hope all the social media platforms do the same thing so people can ditch them and start making their own forum sites again, like the good ol' days.
Twitter became a political tool in India more than USA to spread out current government's ideology, It will be big loss to them if it's permanent !Really bad idea.
600 posts limit will be exhausted soon. Now people will scroll through twitter with care to save the daily budget!
The idea is really terrible. Won't work in country like India and other third world countries. I mean people here want free content. Who wants to pay to see metered content which is otherwise a crap?
You are right. There have been a lot of fake news spreading done via Twitter in the past few years in India via numerous fake accounts!Twitter became a political tool in India more than USA to spread out current government's ideology, It will be big loss to them if it's permanent !
It will not stop them, They have huge resources and so much money plus they have to win upcoming elections, BTW I hope this step will revert back by Musk because it will directly affect on Twitter's traffic !You are right. If these limits will put a break on it then it will be good.
