I took a mensa test and scored 136 when I was 19.
I'm 21 and no doubt sitting in front of a pc for most of the day will have bought it down.

Yeah I did a 1 hour test at highschool and got 140. Was pretty happy with it but your IQ means absolutely nothing.

If you had a score of 140, you would technically be classified as a genius. If you get classified as a genius, MENSA gives you a $1,000,000 grant, and every college in the nation offers you a full ride scholarship. Not trying to say you are full of shit, but maybe you remember your score wrong.

So, now instead of measuring dicks, we measure something that 's practically unmeasurable?
Most of the tests are full of shit and it depends on alot of variables.
It may be unmesurable but there are some really good tests (NOT on the Internet) which can atleast give an accurate "area".

I took three IQ tests the other night online. The one that seemed the most worthwhile involved pictures only and was 60 questions. It's at http://www.iqtest-center.com. At first it started out really easy but got pretty difficult toward the end. I ended up higher than I expected myself to be.
IQtest.com sucks -- it's all true or false which doesn't seem like it could be very accurate with a 50/50 chance of being right if you guessed. It's also clearly an affiliate site, but they do send you your score for free.

Lol I still have my test result on paper somewhere if you want me to scan it. They didn't make a big deal out of it, they just said it's high score. I wanna do a mensa test then, gimmie dat moniez brah.

I don't think you get some million dollar grant just for being Mensa.
I'm pretty sure it's bragging rights, being part of a community of intellectuals, and something to add to your resume/college application.

You know what an IQ score does? It puts you in a box.
If your IQ comes out at 100, you'll decide you are average, and it will kill your motivation to try hard since you're "average".
If your IQ comes out in the so-called "gifted range" at 120-140, you'll assume that you are super smart, become arrogant and will try less hard.
If your IQ comes out even higher than that, you probably struggle socially, and will decide the reason you do is because you're just "too smart" and you'll become complacent.
Who needs that? I sure don't. I say, put labels on yourself sparingly. Personality tests, IQ tests and the like just serve to make you feel like you fit into a particular box. It gives you a way to become complacent in your weaknesses, since you just "explain it away".
My advice? Ditch that stuff and just focus on being you. You are you. You are good at X things, you are bad at Y things. You are constantly looking to improve, and become an all-around person. You are not better than anyone else; you are just like everyone else, but you work hard and run after your goals with all your might.
At the end of the day thats it; people who achieve their goals aren't smarter or more talented than their peers. They simply push harder and want their goals more. Focus on that, not some fluff to make you feel arrogant and better than others (or to wallow in).

Some guy's 85s gets more done than some other's 130s. I'm a consistent 128 (real life tests), and the most important thing this nice score has helped me notice is that perseverance, and not intelligence (as currently measured) is the key to achieving one's goals. Better be a wise solid 100 than a stupid 138.
Indeed... who gives a f--- about some score? It is usually the average, but hard-working and savvy folks that build businesses up from the ground. They then marry spouses from upper-society that inject their IQ genes. Their children then have high IQ's, and all they know how to do is theorize and take over their parents businesses.
LOL... I have been lurking around here for a few months and I just had to answer. I had my IQ tested in 7th grade and was told I had a 132 but I have smoked an unbelievable amount of pot and drank like a fish since then LOLZ!

I had a MENSA member as a student pilot and besides being able to read fast and regurgitate facts he was the dumbest, dullest, densest, student I have ever had. Never got to the final flight test.
If you have to prove how "smart" you are... It's because it does not show naturally.
