Hello BHW,

I have been a member for some time now, but have remained quiet and have used this site for educational purposes. However, today, I would like to ask the community what their go-to process is when performing conversion optimizations for clients. Do you solely focus on PPC, messaging, design, offer optimization, funnel tweaking, A/B (what type) or do is there something else. Don't be afraid to share your experience and ideas.

I don't have experience with clients but i've run my own campaigns (leads mostly), my first approach is to remove creative burning so i test creatives extensively to get better CTR thus reducing my CPC and getting better reach & impressions for my ads.

Using an analytics program is key, even something simple and free like google analytics could work.

Experience and frequently running tests and comparing results like the guy above me is saying. I'm currently finding that sometimes it's straight forward, sometimes it's really hard. I can do this for clients but for some reason having difficulty doing my own sites..

Are you going with layout structuring, button coloring, or using any industry-based psychology to determine your best creative approach before moving to analytics and user behavioral flow?

Yes, analytics provides a lot of insight. I enjoy using Google Analytics, Ahrefs & Hotjar to build an accurate idea of how users interact and engage with my clients' sites. This is great because it can help identify pages that need work or even areas on a page that should have attention.

The reason I asked, is because I specialize in micro-interaction conversion funnels, and my partners each specialize in other areas, such as PPC, design, copy, etc. I know everyone has a different approach and usually, most have different experiences, even in the same niche.

What effect do you think colors play on conversions? Is color psychology relevant to overall traffic or specific consumer profiles, targeting very concentrated audiences?
