I (like many people) love wordpress because google loves wordpress..but I`m really starting to like joomla(I hope soon it will be as seo friendly as WP)..What is your favorite cms and why?

Wp, because it's the only seo-friendly cms :p

WP just for the crazy amount of plugins/themes/5 second install... but more importantly its the only one I know how to use.

I favore wordpress for quick and quality sites. Joomla for more complex sites especially membership sites

I used Joomla before I used Wordpress and I really loved Joomla too, but have found Wordpress just to be so much easier thereby faster to use so I love Wordpress. It's easier to teach too so if I need to outsource, I can with ease. I like that Wordpress is easier to mold into basically any type of site you need.

I prefer b2evolution since it's as crawlable and configurable as WordPress or Joomla, but has significantly fewer vulnerabilties.

That's just because b2evolution not widespread so much as WP

I use WP for my blog but I hate it when I want to spam. I really love blogengine, drupal and joomla when it time to spam. These platform could easily give my PR6 backlinks.

I like Joomla may be because its my first CMS. On the other hand joomla's community is very supportive and there are lots extensions both com. and free. you can build any kind of website, blog, portals, forums, you name it. The only big draw back i can think of about joomla is its SEO issue. But you can fix that with one of those SEO components. The other issue with jooomla is its security. You have to update your installation frequently. I have been hacked a number of times

I like WP allot because its SE friendly and I use Joomla for some bigger projects because you got allot of nice features for it to make it some kind of membership etc

wp, it's so easy to use even for non programmers and so many plugins to turn wordpress into anything u like!

Wordpress, simply because it can be manipulated in sooo many different ways, and it is very SE friendly.

The 3 most widely used PHP CMS's presently are Wordpress, Joomla! and Drupal - quite in that order as well.

Wordpress - Easy to install, good basic features, relatively safe ( without the plugins, though we all need them to power up wordpress) and easy to handle as well. Good for those wanting a basic CMS and putting content up on there sites. Very good SEO with plugins.Google's pet.

Joomla! - Relatively complex compared to Wordpress but it is a full fledged CMS with advanced features like Social Networking, Video sites and with a huge community following as well. However, not the best for SEO , even with plugins like sh404sef it has inherent drawbacks of duplicate content and is a pain as far as solving these issues is concerned. External plugins make it unsafe, core is very safe and upto date.

Drupal - Not for the faint hearted. The learning curve is pretty high but once you know it in an out , you can only love the power it gives with the flexibility it comes with. Used by power portals and firms , it can be easily leveraged for SEO ( very good at that) and is relatively much safer then the other two. Its only con is not easy to work on and the UI lacks.

Having worked on all 3, for me it depends on the need. If its a powerful system, then drupal . If i wanna keep it simple, then Wordpress and for everything in between :) , Joomla! .
