What is your favorite beer? - 2018

Pilsner beers are one of the best (packaged beer) I have tried till date.

Also, I love going to the local breweries who sell much better beer than the packaged ones.

My everyday day beer is heineken. Here in Brazil a cheap yet good beer.

But the best beer in my opinion is La Trappe, althoug it's pretty expensive here.

But beer is like sex, even if its bad, its good

Duvel I am in belgium right now and they have the best beers by far

Since I was 17 in the UK I have drunk real ale, in genuine real ale pubs. Tetley Bitter, Theaksons Old Peculiar, Sam Smiths Museum Ale to name a few.
I'm sure you mean 18! ;)

Real ale? Something else that is dying rapidly in the UK.

Can't get a decent beer round here in the midlands any more, not anywhere near me anyway.

@Aty I do enjoy draught Guinness, although some UK pubs serve a great pint of the black stuff, without doubt the best is served in Dublin.

In Yorkshire there were some independent pubs, The Fighting Cock at Preston Street in Bradford was the best.
A real spit and sawdust type pub back in the 1980s, didn't sell lager or electric pump beers. Great beer, great food and never any trouble in there, it was a drinkers pub.
There was a blackboard on the wall, detailing the guest beers, gravity of each and price. We used to start at the top and work our way down the board.

Each time we go to the USA , I actively seek out the local brew houses / microbreweries and love testing out the American beers, 99% you'd never get chance to drink in Europe.

Here in Spain, it's the lager type beers, very light such as Mahou but there's a nice tipple called Ceriux Rubia.
There's an annual beer festival in Murcia, which gives you chance to sample the local beers, which is good as it is a nice introduction to beers you'd never heard of before.

When I was in the military I was introduced to a bottled beer called EKU 28, which sorted out the men from the boys.

I was in Dublin a few months ago on vacation. Guinness tastes so much better there. It's too watered down in America.

My favorite is Franziskhaner Hefeweizen Dunkel. That can take the place of a meal, it's so hearty.
