What is your favorite backlink checking tool?

I use majestic because ahrefs has a small limit

If you are on another language than english, you should not rely on OpenSiteExplorer.
Ahrefs & MajesticSEO are good ones and like the others said, you should crosscheck to get an idea. You will never have the real numbers.
 
I use ahrefs, but I also like semrush eventhough the backlinks count is low here, we can find some awesome information
 
<a href is best > and google likes it very much too
 
Webmaster tools for my own websites as its exactly the links that Google sees for its rankings. Majesticseo and opensiteexplorer for others.
 
Normally i will prefer Backlinkwatch, ahref and opensiteexplorer. (Any other sites ie., competitor's site)
And aslo we check in Google Webmaster Tool. (For my client site)
