What is your CPM from Content ID Claims (Music) ?

Hey guys,

I'm pretty sure we have plenty of guys who use content id claims with their own music as a method of monetization of your youtube channels, could any of you share what is your average CPM with this method of monetization?
I wonder if it's much smaller then normal monetized channel with adsense?
For example I have a gaming channel monetized via adsens with 1$ CPM and on the same channel with monetization via some music company through Content ID Claim I would get 0.5$ CPM ? Or there is not that big difference? Of course it' all depends on the niche but still, I would be thankful for this information :-)

Maybe you can share your experience how to quickly monetize the channel?

did you ever find out the answer to your question? Im curious myself in knowing if content id method pays better than regular adsense monetization

Unfortunately not, I got some songs secured by content-id but didn't make any videos with them so I have no idea what CPM can we expect.
 
I have an Official Artist Channel, My CPM is $16.55 without Content ID.

There's a method the allows you to instead of using adsense/google ads they insert their own copyrighted music in their own videos and then they copyright claim their own video so this way they don't have to use adsense/ google for their payments. They're not asking about how much music channels make.
 
From my experience, there is no hard definite number for CPM.

If your video usually makes (x) amount from CPM from adsense, it tends to come out lower when paid through content ID.

For example, i had 20,000 content ID streams pay out around £90, while if I had gotten it through adsense it would have been significantly higher at around $250-$300.

So if you can monetize through adsense, on YouTube you should. But if you're getting a ton of views on your videos without adsense, it could make some money.

So in summary, CPM depends on the niche and the payout is higher with adsense than with content ID.
