What is you best client getting method?

I am looking to get started doing SEO for local business in my area.

I've been doing SEO on my own sites for a while now and have been able to get my sites ranked for competitive keywords and doing local SEO seems like a good way to make some extra $$.

Question:

What are your best client getting methods that are working right now?

Best way is to network. The more people you talk to, the more people who will know about you, which results in the more clients you get. Go to networking events all the time and pass out your cards.

It'll take a whole weekend for you to read from start to finish but its worth it.

Word of mouth. Just spread the word among your current clients, friends and anyone who have had good results from your service. An advertisement in local newspaper also does the trick.
