what is wrong with wordpress?

hello helpful people i want you to help me with a little thing that has been making me pull my hair all day and the thing is i have set up a wordpress site to day uploaded a video on to it from my computer the video file type is .flv and .avi but when i click publish i wont see the video on my website only a blue link . i have installed almost every wordpress video player plugins available nothing seems to be working for me. what should i do to make this work? what video plugins are you guys currently use for your wordpress sites? has anyone of you ever faced the same problem as me and if you have how did you solve it?

i will really appreciate if you help me figure this out ASAP as i want to have my video up and running within couple of hours

did you post it in the post as a link?
does the link go to the video on your site, and it shows if you click it?

Hey there, first upload the video in youtube or vimeo...etc, and after that post the link in your article, page, etc. Contact me if need additional help

no i didnt post as link i uploaded direct from my computer into the wordpress .and for the second question when i click on the link it says open with ,third party sofwares ,,it doesnt play the video at all

I have used it before you have to EMBED it. Just installing a plugin wont work. Read the readme of the plugin on how to use it.

hello jordan thanks for the reply ,i dont want to ulpoad my video on youtube i only want to put it on my website and then content lock it .i sent you a pm please check your inbox

i just want to upload the video from my computer straight to the wordpress ,i dont want to put it on youtube.
