what is your source of traffic....this may explain the low hops per order numbers.

diet niche with targeted traffic should be at like 1:30 hops, from what I experienced and what the vendor told me his top affiliates are doing

IS your traffic niche targeted via google?
Then what about product gravity?
Does your product have decent page?

those numbers are not bad, considering you are working with French traffic, which converts worse than english traffic.

are you getting targeted traffic? as if you're not 1% conversion rate is fine here.
