I don't know what is wrong with it, but I recently opened up a blog, and it is moving ok. Has some decent content, and I even did a couple of things to improve the way Google indexes it. It opened about 2 weeks ago and was added to Google shortly after. However, only two pages are indexed. If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate a hand :)

Wordpress is good out of the box when it comes to indexing. So there should not be any problems there. So its probably either your content or the lack of backlinks. Is your content unique? How many backlinks have you got?

I have backlinks from my ezinearticles profile and lots of articles I published in magazines. I also have links from facebook, etc. etc. My twitter gets updated automatically every time i post a blog. Also, I do not use wordpress. I use b2evolution and set it up myself.

Anyway, does Google normally take so long to recognize your site's pages? I see GoogleBot crawling the heck out of my site.

Give it some time. Less than 2 weeks is really not an indicator. If you are still stuck after a month then something is wrong.

Build a sitemap and add some links to the deep pages.

Yeah....... I was guessing I should wait a bit more time. I am just hoping it will get better indexed. Also, I noticed that it is indexing my /blog/ and /blogs/ folder which were folders that used to contain the website itself before I configured the virtual host correctly to be the domain alone. I erased everything in the folders and left the index.php with a 301 redirect to the new URL. Also, I put a robots.txt that will tell google not to index those old folders anymore :). However, the website now with its new URL is not indexed and its been a while. That is why I got concerned. I remembered getting indexed very fast before on other websites I made. I do not have prior experience with b2evolution and its SEO configuration panel.
