Hey guys, I am usually doing PPC but I am trying to get into the SEO and woundered what ebooks / courses are worth to better learn Whitehat SEO and link building? Cheers, looking forward to your comments
there is no need to read any books but you just need to know where to get the links from. Many just get the regular social bookmark and the article links. But if you want to know the other sources of backlinks[a little blackhat],you could read a e-book titled "seo footprints" [not sure of the exact title, hope someone here cold help with that].it was there in this forum.I highly recommend it.Do SEO for at least one time and you will yourself learn how it works. hope that helped.
You can check the SEOmoz blog and more specifically the Whiteboard Friday section.I'v picked some really interesting stuff from there.
SEObook and SEObook training membership are 2 different things the first one is an ebook the last version may be about 2 years old. some info is still valid but obviously other stuff is outdated. SEObook training membership is $300/month but was much less about a year ago. I guess prices went up with offer/demand IMO, this is overprice
Dont even bother learning it. If you have a couple of hundred bux per month, outsource everything and you are going to be 10x more successful. The less you know the better off you are, trust me. Every freakin day there is a new thing about seo so you cannot really keep up unless you read all day long. Keep up with seo means you are not gonna have enuf time to actually do what you learned.
Well wookie I see what you mean by this since it's life consuming but it's going to be a bit hard for him to outsource what he doesn't know don't you think?
Yeah without knowing what exactly works and what not I probably would burn hundrets of dollars or several thousand in outsourcing that won't just not help me but also hurt my rankings as well.
click on that little "black hat seo" link in the side nav, and start readin buddy. take the money you have and start outsourcing under "services for sale". nuff said.
This may come as a suprise for many people. But over at WarriorForum they do some pretty indepth case studies when it comes to SEO. It certainly isn't amazing, brand new stuff. But there is quite cool little diaries that go step by step in trying to make it to number one. And quite often you can follow their steps with great success. At the end of the day, Most people are using Web 2.0 and Profiles to rank. But there is a whole lot more if you want to get that edge.
Check out this ebook. One of my favorites for SEO. Code: http://rapidshare.com/files/381745910/SEO.pdf
Ken Evoy of Sitesell has a lot of really whitehat site building information. I think you can get most of his stuff for free if you search google.
I see your point dude but there is always, always, smth new that some guru claims that it works and you press the magic button and voila...the more u know the more you are like, "oooh man, let me try this out", the next day smth different comes out with great copy and you are "oooh man f that last one, this one is THE one".... you know what I mean. I guess im just ranting...
