what is white hat SEO?

In a nutshell:
White hat = publish content on a site, so good, other sites will take you as a reference with a backlink to credit your content.
Black hat = publish content and buy those backlinks.

White hat SEO is a term used to refer to SEO strategies that function within the rules and expectations of search engines and searchers. It means implementing techniques to improve a website’s search engine ranking without relying on tricks to undermine a search engine’s algorithm. Yes, it is maybe a hard way to get to the 1st page, but once when you are there and you got it how white-hat works, you will be there for a loooong .
 
Mostly White hat involves natural social shares and Natural ranking !

It is execute by organic link building, in other words through natural linking to other websites. Natural link building is mainly generated through useful content and user popularity. white hat SEO is cheaper than Black Hat SEO, as it is not necessary to repair violations that have been identified and penalized by Google.

In simple terms, its the expression to differentiate between People

1. Who like to grow your business/website with a long term perspective and build brand equity along the course.
2. from the people who know to abuse/scam algorithms, clients and their queries to land traffic without caring about value and conversions.

Although, there are many self proclaimed White Hat guys using blackhat techniques to serve their own self.

Black hat SEO works on the search engine process. To get higher ranking, and breaking search engine rules black hat SEO techniques and strategies are used.

White hat SEO works for targeting audience on the search engine. They are used to increase the audience with their strategies.
