What is web 2.0 domains and expired?

I'm newbie SEO so there are many terms that I hope you can explain to me. As I know, web 2.0 is free platform (tumblr, blogspot, wordpress,...) so how they can expired? And what web 2.0 domains is? Thank you so much

Web 2.0 is exactly like you say, a free platform.

What you are probably referring to is combining the power of an expired domain with a web 2.0 platform - So basically attaching the domain to the web 2.0 hosting. so instead of say johnsmith.blogspot.com, it is just http://www.johnmith.com on the blogspot platform.
