what is virtual DSL

Hi,

I came across a term "virtual DSL" service in a rdsl rental site few days ago..Can anybody tell me what exactly is this? how this can be achieved?

Much like a VPN or VPS with RDP (depends on the setup), but on a DSL line. For those rare occasions where you'll rather have your IP's resolve to something that resembles local (as in local to the remote DSL) residential use.
