    Hello,
    I'm trying to find the 'setup name' for this particular proxy setup.

    This is a regular proxy:
    browser <-> proxy_server

    This is the setup:
    browser <-> proxy_server <-> client

    The proxy_server doesn't execute the HTTP request, but passes it to client (which is installed on another host), which executes the request, returns it to proxy_server, which returns it to browser. What's the name of this setup? Thanks!

    That's called double-proxitization.

    I was kidding :b sorry about that ... but, if you use a proxy (which normally makes the request), what you are describing as 'client' is doing what the proxy would do, so it's essentially like using a proxy to access a proxy to make the request.
