I have a competitor who is outranking me all of a sudden using hundreds of these types of links per day. When I monitor their backlinks each day, they're all the same type of link. Either an event posting or group listing on some social plugin or platform on some pretty high authority sites. Here's just one example of what these look like. Anyone know what platform this is? https://thezonesports.com/index.php?option=com_community&view=frontpage&Itemid=255

Thanks guys. I'm not quite sure that it's just a social bookmark. The link I shared above is a page showing recent activity. It looks like a social community plugin of some type where the agency has created several "profile" accounts and they're creating "events" in the community which is where the external links are being dropped. So if you click on that username erikbarber, you can see all the events that user has created. Each event has a list of external links to their clients in those niches...like this one here: https://thezonesports.com/index.php...=events&task=viewevent&eventid=219&Itemid=255

And the link profiles are FULL of these types of links. I don't want to reveal anything or out anybody here. But if you care to figure this out for yourself, just click through any of the external links in an "event" and then plug that domain into MajesticSEO or Ahrefs and look at the link profiles. Most of them seem to have started building these links just in the past 6 months or so.

Here's the thing...I can figure this out real easy and grabbed a few of the links for myself. But I want to scale them up. So was wondering if this is something that's been around that some automation tool like nuke or ultimate demon can do in bulk.

One tip I've found in building a few manual ones is you can totally take advantage of the tiered linking of the agency doing this on some of the sites. Some are "events" others are "announcements." So the SEO agency is creating a "group" in the community with a niche theme like clothing, SEO, Finance, etc. Then there are announcements or events posted in the "group." Does that make sense? Thing is, the groups are public and open a lot of the time. So you can add your links on the group page right there with the other links. The seo agency is building tiered links to these niche themed group pages. So I've found some good links right there next to the links to my competitor.

The most frustrating thing is that I've completely shifted focus for my clients site to focus on more legit links from relevant sites. I used to rank #1 all over this niche. Until I switched gears and went more grayish white. And then BOOM, a competitor hires an agency who is creating hundreds of these links per week all with exact match anchor text violating everything Google is trying to combat against, and they're ranking #3, and I'm now #4 to 9 for just about all of the keywords I used to be #1 for.

Anyway, thought I'd share here to see if anyone knew this type of link. And if not, then here's an easy link source for you. go to the community registration page and there's a pretty clear footprint there that pulls up lots of sites.
