So we're all familiar with it;
The 'Top 8 most Embarrassing Celebrity Fails' page, and it features an image with a short paragraph of explanation.....spread over 8 different pages. In order to read the whole 'article' you need to then click 'NEXT' for each image and paragraph thereafter.

Seems like a dumb question, but I've never seen this pagestyle layout called anything in particular, and now when I'm aiming to build a few articles in this way on a new site, I would like to have a premium theme or wordpress plugin that makes this process easy. Rather than actually making the 10-15 seperate posts manually and linking them together.

I figured it would be a post slider or something, but thats different, and is embedded on one static page. The key here is obviously getting the maximum page impressions/ad impressions with the multiple pages per single 'article'.

I'm sure someone knows and will lol at my ignorance.

Cheers!

Thanks guys, I'm on the right track now!

The result might be published as-is (as for a phone book interior) or might be tweaked by a graphic designer
(as for a highly polished,
expensive publication).

They're called Paginated Posts. You can get a Wordpress plugin that does it called Theia Post Slider available on CodeCanyon.

They are called paginated posts. Sahifa and Newspaper theme both have this functionality and most of the sites are using one of these themes for paginated stories.

Sahifa Demo (page/post pagination )

Newspapertheme Demo ( they call it smart lists )

I think so it ill called in the name of "Pagination"
