Thin content means an article that is less than 300 to 500 words. It also depends on the articles of a site. Go for anything between 1000 to 1500 words min .
 
Thin contnet is content that is short, lacks real substance and is made up of fluff. Not true content that is keyword rich and full of meaning.

Great content has great images, H2 and H3 tags, keyword rich and well written. You can have long content that has a bunch of words however if it is not well written it could still be considered thin content. Links both internal and external will be great for your content as well.

Basically just write meaningful content that people will want to read and cannot find anywhere else and you should be fine.

Thin content contains a limited words without covering all the topics. The various seo tools will notify you for thin content.

Without having any sub topics, you shouldn't write. That willn't be a user readable. You should break down all the topics which needs to be covered under that topic.

You have to fix it, do research, built quality keywords, visit competitor sites as much you can and observe things they have done, by these ways you can fix the thin contents.
