And moz say 50 to 60
all in one seo says 60.

M4XW3LL's 512 pixel answer is correct, which is why if you were to go around counting the the number of characters in titles before it becomes truncated with ellipses, you would get different numbers.

It depends on the device you are optimizing for. And it's not based on characters but pixels
