Basically, you write content including the words you want to rank for, and then have other sites link to your site to tell google your site is popular or has value so google places it on the top of itd search results page. You need: content and backlinks.

You must have a way to provide quality backlinks. As stupid as it seems Google still gives major importance to the backlinks.
Another very important thing is KEYWORD RESEARCH software so you can find long tail keywords to write the articles.
And the last is great content. You must have unique and quality content. Without this you won't get far...

Social media exposure is very important. I suggest Facebook because IG seems saturated and hard to grow nowadays.
