Just thinking out loud here on a Friday night on the future of internet marketing, making money online and the internet in general
As we all know, things come in cycles. The current meta seems to be content creation, selling info products or AI . However, the problem I've noticed is that everyone and their dog is selling courses and trying to become an authority figure. Selling info products was something you would not see anyone do, I can open IG and find random people selling FX, real estate or some other info product in a random niche. This was not the case pre 2020 and most buyers would not even know it's a sales funnel. Now the general public is more aware of info products selling funnels and are even calling it out.
The same goes for content creation. So many people are creating content now online due to the creativity programs on these platforms. You can monetize your content on pretty much any major platform. What I find interesting is that people don't seem to care for AI-generated content, I've seen AI content still get tons of engagement. Everything is about metrics and getting as much engagement as possible(just look at what happened to x/twitter).
Attention has always been worth gold but IMO it's now even more important with the amount of content created on the internet both authentic and AI generated.
I know I've rambled a bit but what are your thoughts?
