I don't even want to know the link and open it in the browser. It's really creepy. I know these things happen, but it really makes me sad to read about it somewhere. If the subject owner contacts, I can forward the site for ddos for free. I was just using it to code ddos protection for my own site. I hope it's powerful enough and shut it down
Why would you even remotely want to question helping taking this down? There is a time and a place to be controversial, and this isn’t one of them.

That’s just stress testing though. I remember years ago going on the dark web for the first and only time out of curiosity. I just wanted to see what it was like and what weird things I could find. My naïve self thought maybe I'd find some crazy gore content that would make me nope out of there.
I think I lasted 20 minutes until I found some ***** looking forum and the amount of people asking where they could find this stuff and it fucked with me so hard. I knew they were out there, but the sheer amount of them really messed with my head for the next few days. It wasn't even like a subsection of the forum, this was pretty out in the open. What got to me the hardest is a majority of them will never get caught or face any type of punishment.

That's why I don't even want to go to the link to attack. If I see such monsters, it will take me too long to pull myself together. I wish such monsters could be caught and castrated.

Given that both hosting and registrar are based in Canada, it might be useful to report to their Child Abuse government section talking about both the forum and the hosting and registrar allowing it, it should put more pressure to those hosting the forum if both hosting and registrar doesn't take steps to remove the forum (if they allow to do that for not-Canadians as well obviously, and that's a big if)
Probably only saying that you'll report them to Canada Goverment Using their gov Cybertip .ca site will move something on their end.
This is for reporting children abuse for Thailand (there is an international Org, "InHope" that has sections and reaches almost all the countries and luckily also Thailand):

it's sad but it's real and happens all the time. the only defense is taking action. but you also need to evaluate the timeline and history of web actions that opened that door to bring you there. i'm not saying you were looking for it, i'm saying the people who promote this stuff are using the same marketing tactics as people on this forum (pops, misleading clickbait, etc), but to promote their nefarious product. figure out how they are getting into your digital feed and attack that.I don't even want to know the link and open it in the browser. I saw a story on someone who stopped a ransomware attack, was the hero everybody praised, but still got into some legal trouble. It was something entirely unrelated, but the public attention got him some other unwanted attention.
Most people who have the skills to do this, probably wouldn't want any kind of agency with a lot of resources on their hands digging into their past.
While it's commendable and a 99% chance you'll get a pass, you don't want the 1% chance that doing something good can cause you some legal troubles.

digging into their past? once you start making threats against someone using their transgressions as leverage you are entering blackmail territory. i would argue that in a legal fight. "i was trying to help society and got blackmailed into not helping society."
you have to take risks if you want to make a difference in the world. i'm no superhero, but i definitely am not afraid to take risks to achieve my goals.

That's not a legal argument and would never hold up in court. But it might help with your sentencing. When it comes to the law especially in the US, it's very black or white. There are certain states in the U.S. where's it's damn near illegal for you to defend yourself even from someone trying to kill you.
When a prosecutor, judge, or any agency has a chance to throw you under the bus for publicity or a promotion, they will take it and sleep good at night.

i don't think this sort of vigilantism would ever end up in court. there's been a history in not just the u.s. but most of the western world, actually the whole world, of supporting someone who did good for society while breaking the law. it really depends on the case itself. it's up to society to judge and if everyone is happy this bad thing got stopped then most people don't care how that happened, and the people who care are focused on how it was stopped. law enforcement is happy that someone actually cares enough to take action and try their best to be responsible and moral. that shit goes a long way. people who work in law enforcement originally signed up to make a difference..

Look up the case in NYC where a former army veteran stopped a homeless man from potentially harming other people on a train. A homeless man who threatened to kill people and had a criminal violent past. The hero is now charged with manslaughter and facing possible jail time.
This happens more than you realize in the US.
