What is the most anonymous crypto?

If I buy monero from a kyc exchange is it still anonymous?

Yes, from what I read once you move it to monero then traces cease.

There is also zcash which is supposed to be just as good.

I am no expert on these just going on what crypto redditors/tweeters say.

It's like withdrawing cash from your bank. The bank will have a record that you took the money out but from that point nobody will know what you use the cash for.

Monero is pretty much the gold standard when it comes to crypto anonymity.

Of course, there have been a lot of articles on how Monero is not as anonymous as its backers' claim, but this is all comparative.

When you look at other crypto where all transaction history is stored on the public chain, Monero is looking really good.

Could it stand some improvement?

Absolutely.

But depending on how you use Monero, it's a good choice for an anonymous crypto.

The downside with Monero is its adoption rate in terms of actual transactions.

Because at the end of the day, in practical terms, if you want to get out of Monero and convert it back into US dollars, you run the risk of entering a conversion chain that is not all that anonymous.

If you want more control than a specifically "privacy" coin gives you then check out Secret Network. It may offer some options you can get with the expanded privacy architecture.

Ethereum meta, but it's a shit coin. Monero would most likely be the best

If you are using Monero for sending or receiving from/to KYC exchange, they are sometimes asking why are you using it xD

I don't know why this post blew up, but I recommend checking out Zcash

Atleast till 2018, Monero was the most anonymous. I did not follow the market for anonymous coins after that.

I like the project. Been watching it for more than 3 years may be. Even mining it is easier than bitcoin (but not much profitable lol). I love how they made it tough to trace back the transactions. Pretty awesome concept if you ask me.
