Recently so many companies started to offer mobile /lte / 4g proxy. How are they able to offer millions of mobile IP for proxy? For sure these are not data center IP hosted on on server or Virtual machine.
The source cannot be 100% legit unless someone is harvesting the IP by some app or program installed?
I was reading trendmicro documentation about one vpn company which is actually using the clients machine/ip as exit node.

Companies which offers dedicated/ rotating mobile proxies here in bhw use Thier own hardware
4g dongles / usb hubs / servers placed in Thier own house / office.

And companies like luminati/geosurf uses various methods to rent mobiles / pcs for thier proxy node.

One popular method is giving away free vpn and the users mobile is proxy.

Some of them are legit while some of them are pure botnets.

Indeed, some providers get their proxies through an SDK installed on apps, such as Luminati, here's their sdk: https://luminati.io/sdk

Unfortunately, there are some other providers that are nor transparent in how they get their IP pool. And even others use simple botnets as their IP pool.

Do you mean they use like simbox and offer services?

It is same as of proxy harvesting. Some companies give free app and pay users.

So I've written a review about proxyguys on their thread. But they have a one of a kind system that I've seen. I've tried proxyguys, illusory, proxyrack, therekz and a few others. Proxyguys has a bunch of locations that you get access to. Each location has different subnets and very high quality IP's. they work great with tiktok, instagram, google ads, facebook, etc. I've tried everything and nothing seems to get blocked very easily. I also know (because I asked on their chat) that they will be getting more locations soon. And according to their FAQ they will not be charging more for more locations. now don't get me wrong, they are pricey, but I can see why. They just work. I've also had pretty good luck with illusory, only problem is they only have 1 location and I think I used up all the IP's. From the few times I've used them I got around 1000 unique IP's that I logged and a few weeks later I tried the service again and got all the same IP's. What I also like about these providers is there is no data limits like some have. Unlimited data is very nice and makes your costs predictable.
hope you find a provider you like.
