What is the FIRST thing you did this new year?

People do different things
Especially as they age

For some..they go partying
And few others ..some religious activity
 
My ritual was much more boring: I spent the first hour of 2026 staring at my new agenda and pretending that I would actually follow my schedule for more than a week!
 
Sleeping on my bed.
 
I just stayed up to watch the countdown and made a few goals for myself.
The 12 grapes tradition sounds fun though
 
The funny thing is that as the new year began, I sat quietly for a while, reviewed the mistakes of the previous year, and set a clear focus for the new one.
 
I went for a run at the stroke of midnight so literally the first thing i was doing when the new year started was running up a giant hill lol
 
Went on an amusement park ride called Symbolica at the Efteling at around 00:15 ;-D
 
lit some fire to keep me warm...

After a few days of recovering from eating turkey, ham and stuffing (...and many beers), the first thing I've done online (now) after a bit of lurking is join BHW.
