What is the difference between various Proxy Types?

Hi there,
Can someone tell me what are the pro/con, best usage scenarios, purpose of various types of proxy lists?

Here are a few types of proxy sources that I know of and I have kicked off with some of what I know. I would really appreciate it if you help add to the list of information so beginners like me can quickly get up to speed.

Can someone also describe the difference between HTTP and HTTPS and SOCKS proxies? How should they be used?

Your computer is telling the proxy computer go fetch a site and send it to you.
Same with you telling someone go to the store and get you something.

That someone may or may not say you sent him.

If the proxy is anonymous, then it won't give out your IP. BUT this can change at any time. One moment it is anonymous, the next moment its owner decides to change a setting and it starts spilling your IP.

My guess is that the problem with scrapebox is that it doesn't account for dead or slow proxies. It never tries to post a comment with the next proxy in the list. It just moves on to the next url possibly trying the same proxy and again it is a miss. I don't own a copy but watching videos and reading comments that seems to be the reason why you need fast proxies. If this weakness is corrected, you'll be fine with public proxies (the invisibility issue remains of course).

You can change settings... Change proxy after every one post and it will start rotating proxy... Doesn't matter if it's successful or failed posting it will move on to next proxy in list... Once finished you can run it again for failed posting or operation...

Scrapebox uses good amount of bandwidth and that's why it is suggested to get your own proxy so you don't have to face burnt of exhausted proxy in middle of scraping or posting... Lots of public proxy go dead after some time and if you are in middle of something then you will get lots of errors...

About giving away your IP, anonymous one will not give it.... Transparent proxies will leak your IP and you should never use them... I use public and private both kind of proxies with scrapebox depending upon usages...

I am still confused on when I would use a HTTPS or SOCKS proxy. How are they different to standard HTTP proxies? I know they are different protocols but I am confused on when and why we need them.

Also, how important is it when our IP is leaked through transparent proxies? Would Google police come knock down our doors? Perhaps our IP get banned at these sites?

Not all Proxies hide your IP

So you need proxy judges to grade them into categories

Ex:
1,High Anonymous proxies
2, Anonymous SSL proxies
3, Anonymous Elite proxies

Below this are
Basic Anonymity (This will show your IP)
Most free proxies are basic anonymity

google "proxy judge list" to find judges to test your proxys

Socks proxies will proxy traffic in any protocol, eg. irc and will also proxy SSL traffic. HTTP proxies only proxy http traffic, ie. web traffic. Not all http proxies will proxy SSL - so if you're, for example, trying to sign up to a service that requires SSL on the sign up page, you either have to use an http proxy that supports SSL, or you have to use a socks proxy.

http/https proxy = worked for web port

That's not really true. It's not the port, it's the protocol. You can set up an http proxy on any port you want, but it won't proxy any data that doesn't come in valid http packets. You can set up a socks proxy on any port you like, and it will proxy any type of traffic.

anonymoys/elite http for browsing usual sites
CDN - they leave ur info
