Hey

I confused lot while doing link building. What is current trend in link building method? I want to promote my websites without cost will anyone help me

Social signals are becoming important in any site ranking, some people will agree with me and some will not and that's the beauty of seo, as in seo every method do not work for every person. I posted it on other thread, will copy it here:
You can start getting backlinks from social bookmarking sites, creating a facebook page and increasing your social media (twitter, google+,facebook etc.) presence will add value to your site. Social signals are playing an important role in today's seo, so use them if you want to get long term ranking. These all can be done manually.

You can create free web 2.0 on various sites like blogger.com,wordpress.com,squidoo,tumblr etc. Keeping your web 2.0 updated will be helpful for your site. Creating pinterest account can also be useful. So all these can be done manually.

Two years ago, I might have focused on blog commenting, forum profile links, Squidoo lenses, etc. Today, those strategies are less and less effective.

Instead, a whole slew of new link building techniques are in order. These new techniques will help you build back links that Google actually values, and will help you improve your rankings.Manually submission is more effective.

The trend is to analyze your competitor's backlink. I'm not an expert but that's what I do to rank websites.

How so, see what sites are linking them and copy their strategies? Also, are ecommerce sites harder to build links for?

creating a facebook page

Okay, I am a little confused about this, because I have heard that sending traffic from Facebook to a page with Adsense is frowned upon by Google. Now I am not sure if this is ppc or organic or both. Any validity to what I have heard?

Guest posting, private private networks, niche commenting blogs+forums and for local well local directories (citations).

you can rank your sites by building tier links

tier1
building manual blog post on free blog sites
blog roll links (i use automaticbacklinks.com)
links from blog networks and private blog networks

tier2
links from blog network
article submissions
wikis
gsa
xrumer
sb

tier3
gsa
xrumer
sb
wikis

i recommend using 1 link per page on tier1 to tier2
and vary your anchors...

I agree.. Above all you should also vary your anchors. And content is the key. keep updating your content.

Many thanks for your all suggestions !

I'd say that it has become trendy to speak not about linkbuilding, but about earning links instead. Earned links are supposed to be gained from absolutely unique articles or blog posts, generally speaking - from quality content per se.

I think a method especially effective for earning backlinks is guest posting, because it is not simply about building links but about establishing relationships and one's authority in the niche.

As social media signals gained lot of prominence and it's possible to speak about some kind of social media boom happening around, one has to incorporate SMM into SEO in general and linkbuilding in particular.

Diversity of backlink profile is also an important issue to be addressed - ‘do-' and ‘no-follow' links, as well as links from pages with high PR and pages with lower PR - everything will do, as far as those links are relevant, which basically means they come from sites which share the same niche and contribute to this niche.

Moreover, good old linkbait techniques have not used their relevancy though, especially iconographics and other visual props (including video, animation etc.), which, on the one hand, add some value to the topic, and on the other hand are extremely sharable and serve as a source of natural backlinks.

Choose your niche and join related forums and post it. Social network is key make updates on them regularly with more fans/followers.

I just want to mention one thing here. Forget about all paid tools and software. To start just find your competitors website and put in alexa.com and you will see some backlinks which is high quality backlinks of your competitors. you can use this to build for your website.

Blog commenting, forum posting, directories are the good link building techniques.

The latest trend in link building is creating lots of links to your competitors websites to invoke a penalty. Besides knocking them out of the serps, they will end up spending half their life trying to disavow links in Google.

A more popular trend involves building links to competitors sites and then watching them improve.

That stuff backfires more often than it works.

social signals, Niche targeted guest posts, niche targeted comments, niche targeted forum profiles, niche targeted homepage links, press releases, q&a sites, slides and docs sharing... that's about it. additional tiers are great, drip feeding is highly recommended and anchor text diversity is a must
