What is the Cheapest shipping option from China?

EMS is the best option because its the cheapest of the express options and comes with a tracking. If you want absolute cheapest you should pick hong kong post or china post. They are by far the cheapest option. But take a very long time. Maybe up to 30-40 days sometimes. To keep your customers happy choose EMS. Ask your supplier.. i use EMS and DHL with no problems for all my dropshipping

hi, i live in china and ship stuff out everyday. It really depends on what your shipping..
Hong Kong post/china post are the cheapest options but will usually take about 15 days to reach your clients.
EMS is usually cheaper than DHL if your sending out very light parcels expect to pay around 7USD per kilo and will take around 5-10 days to reach your client.
DHL cost is around 9/10USD per kilo depending on the weight of the parcel, the heavier the cheaper and the fastest of all 3 services. Usually only takes a couple of days to reach client.
UPS also a good option similar to DHL, although overall i prefer DHL as they usually guarantee china to europe in 3-4 days.

If you are going to order atleast a 21KG package usually sellers use DHL for free
im ordering a single item, i think they are trying to make extra money off me on the shipping. how much should an item like that cost to ship?
Usually there's a minimum weight charge or a base charge.
If you want to ship with well known service provider like DHL, FedEx or Ups, you can open a corporate account and negotiate a discount rate. You can do this in your own country, doesn't matter shipment origin and destination

In order for their prefferential rates to apply when you have a corporate account, you have to be sending and receiving 100s of parcels a month on your account..
The sellers from china already have access to the cheapest rates available with any courier, if what theyre charging you seems too much, then theyre probably trying to make money off the shipping.
For a phone or small parcel roughly 1kg, maximum cost should be $20-25USD

I buy some stuff from China and so far the cheapest is china post but it takes around 14 days to reach Indonesia. EMS is my favorites since they only take 7-10 days to reach my house.
If you only send small package I think what benzy suggested is probably the best option you have. it will be different if you ship lots of stuff at once.

For small items, I believe the list has been completed:
Standard mail
1) China Post
2) Hongkong Post
Courier Services
1) EMS
2) DHL
3) UPS.
If you want to hire a freight forwarder, it only makes sense for bulk shipments. I am investigating this method, however, it is a long process with a lot more paperwork involved.
