I'm new to IM and WP, so maybe this is a silly question...but ive searched and haven't found a clear answer. I'd liketo display ads in the sidebar (as widgets?) and maybe throw some banners around elsewhere. Whats the best plugin/widget to do this? :D

Actually the best way is just to put them in a widget as text the html code in which you wish to display that is a fast and easy answer .

    No plugin needed.

go to wordpress.org and search the plugin directory for advertising plugins, just putting banner ad through a widget though do the job but no tracking can be done. Search for a plugin that can track as well as rotate banners.

try ads3ns3r 2.7+. Aside from a convenient way to position your ads3ns3 ads by simply placing the codes inside the plugin panels, you can also use other ad codes and scripts like adbr1te and even your personalized ad codes.

Thanks guys! Being new to this, I thought that some of the free wordpress widgets might have malicious code in them (stealing commisisons or something)...but sounds like they work.
