what is the best way to extract address data?

I am working on a project where I would like to extract all the physical address of certain criteria, for example all McDonalds in California or all Fire stations in Arizona. What would be the best way to get a hold of this data? Thanks!

hi, im not sure i understand your question. i am just looking for a way to gather addresses. For example, gathering all Burger King addresses (street address, city, zip code) in California.

I was going to suggest Google Maps API

https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation

Specifically the Places module:
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/places

but without understand the format of the incoming request it's hard to know if it will suit the purpose.
