I'm not an expert, but Serif PagePlus worked pretty well for one book that we sell on CreateSpace and Amazon. I installed Atlantis Word Processor because it exports epub, but I never used it.
I install Grammarly and then write on Words. Though Words come with spelling checkers, Grammarly makes it more powerful to correct mistakes when I write.
If you're run on Mac, and you'd like to focus on the content it has a built-in software called Pages.
It'll help you to be efficient by providing an elegant & simple user interface and preventing you from distractions.
