For an absolute beginner, you can use Avidemux.
In my opinion, don't bother yourself with software, focus more on your content.

Camtasia or sony vegas for basic editing and adobe after effects for more effects. Didnt tried premiere but i heard its ok

I started with premiere pro as a beginner even though it has a lot of advanced options.

The beauty of it is all the youtube videos and other resources that exist for it with quick tips.

One youtube channel was called like 1 minute adobe premiere tips or something and the dude just gets straight to the point. No long winded bs to get more view time.

Anyway long story short its adobe premiere cuz of the functionality and tons of resources to learn it online because of its popularity.

FFmpeg is lightweight, it can be good even for beginners, especially if the editing is just cutting, resizing etc. Someone posted a bunch of useful commands for Youtube here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/useful-ffmpeg-command-lines-for-youtube.972089/. You can find many other commands on Google.

Filmora all the way , its friendly for beginner but if you want high advanced video editing than go for adobe AE or Premier Pro but these 2 are very hard

Movavi is just perfect for every needs and everyone... Much better and faster than Filmora for the same user experience

I personaly use Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
I heard that DaVinci Resolve should be good, maybe it's worth checking it out.

If it needs to be quick and on the go you can use InShot (android).
