hi guys, i really want to know the best specification for my pc if im going to start using adobe effects. ive been researching online and ive got different versions of spec. but got confused the more...good help will be greatly appreciated.

im not really concern about pricing...just want to know the ram specs. hard disk space etc, that will make AE a smooth run...

Go with a i7 2600k, 16gb ram, a good motherboard and graphics card.
Buy 2 TB for the After and Install a SSD for your Operational System.
That's what I do, and evertything runs smoothly.

Hard drive space doesn't really matter. What matters is speed. Look into purchasing an SSD. I highly recommend it.

Obviously with Ram you want the highest number of gigs you can afford.

Look on the Adobe website for the minimum requirements for AE. That should give you an idea of the bare minimum.

Me personally, if I had the money I'd look into the Mac workstations. And possibly dual booting into windows if needed. The mac workstations can have two Xeons and up to 64gigs of ram.

As above, SSD would be good not essential. It would help with rendering as your drive can be read faster - thus meaning your playback will excell.

I run an i7 Intel Processor, 4 GB Ram and 500GB HDD.

Your RAM is crucial, I would personally recommend 4 GB minimum. If you purchase a laptop/PC with 4GB Ram, is is likely the processor will naturally match the power of this and you will have a PC that runs AAE perfectly.

My specs are i7 ivy or haswell...

A really good video card but wont say a particular model but something that usually costs 200+. You can get deals on older models though but for e one coming out, I would say that my price should indicate the average level of a vid card.

8 gigs of ram or more... remember the more the merrier.... I have friends who swear by 16 gigs and nothing less but I have tried using 8 gigs of ram with an i5 cpu and it was still good.

HD space will depend if you will be storing a lot of HD videos for post production but to me 500 gb to a terabyte suffices.

Recommend 8 gigabytes for a 64-bit OS, Mac or PC. Runs fine with my i5 and my upgraded video card.

As you know heavy PC is required for Adobe after effects. It will work fine if you have core i7 or i5 processor with 8 or 16 GB ram.
