What is the BEST FREE WEB HOST?

They only offer the ad free plans now..

They use to have the ad plan and In return for placing their ads on your sites, they would give you more disk space and bandwidth.. but I think that it's discontinued now!!

000webhost is okay.

Byethost is so good though, Wordpress, Joomla, MySQL, PHP, you name it, it has it.
 
No one mentioned byethost? Or did I read past it somewhere? Well, they have been giving me trouble lately, so maybe the aren't greatest anymore..

the best almost free webhost is shootingstarhosting i have wp blogs on there and porn sites everything works great for me. They are running a special at a buck a month that stays a buck a month you might want to check them out.
 
Just a quick note to everyone here. Avoid justhost like the plague. I signed up for an account worth 23 dollars with a 50% off coupon and they ended up charging $180. Don't be an idiot like me and sign up with them.

I'm guessing the only reason why you would get free hosting is to remain anonymous when you're doing heavily blackhat stuff. Otherwise it's not worth the effort. You can get hosting for about $2 at namecheap and have full control and support. I refuse to believe that there's somebody here who can't at least afford that.
 
I use 000webhost too for a domain and I'm moving to paid hosting. The server I'm on is slow as shit for ftp. They're script installation panel doesn't have many installed either and it's been like that for months. Wish I could give a good recommendation though.
 
update: 000webhost burnt me..they deleted my webspace, but kept my account open. Incase your wondering, the site was a spiritual commentary. When I kept asking why, I finally got a response "we don't have time to investigate because we are busy with our paid hosting customers"... so best advice with 000- make sure you have a back up or is an expendable site...
 
Yeah you have to login every so many days or they delete your account. However they don't do DNS management so you can still get your domain pointed to a new host and bypass them completely. If it's not one of their subdomains of course, then you're fucked.

and hotfeed can be hosted from a totally different server. :] if you want me to host it, i can give it a go.
