What is the Best Free Backlink Checker Tool?

Hi guys,
Since Yahoo! backlink checking service is gone and Blekko has become a paid service is there any free tool out there to check backlinks and does a good job at identifying backlinks? Not looking for answers such as Google Analytics, Google Webmasters, or anything which requires you to be a webmaster or owner of the website. I need something to check backlinks for clients before even having access to their website. Please advise. Thanks.

Ahrefs is doing great for a lot of BHW users here, I'm pretty sure it can be real handy for you too.

Thanks SupremeDev, Ahrefs rocks! It's better than Yahoo and Blekko. I hope the free version remains as is and never changes (as far as becoming paid). Thanks for sharing.

Anyone have any others, then please share! Although, right now I'm perfectly happy with Ahrefs if that's all that is out here.

I use Ahrefs too. It's the best free service out there.

I think doamin-pop is best back link checker tool.

shadmanit, I like domain-pop also. I think ahrefs gives a little more, but domain-pop is good for the quick easy view. The free rank checker is cool too.
