A profile link is a link built in a different manner, but by the way I don't exclude that they could have same rank power, signature link are still important, I haven't said that they are not, but still.... there are no higher THAN lower.... everything depends around whom they are built, and by using a tiered link campaign that gives them the right strenght for being indexed ( what power do you have by links that won't be indexed?)

I think signature link is much better especially if you have a lot of posts. Then your signature link shows up more often while a profile link only shows from 1 page on the site.

Signature is better by far, but you should also add a profile link as more likely each post you make will be linked to your userpage and give more SEO juice to your profile link too.

100% signature link is better then profile links..many people won't visit your profile if you are not popular there..but in signature you are just commenting or posting everytime you will see the links..
