What is the best comment system for Wordpress?

I have a pretty decent site. But users don't really engage with commenting. For now it's getting hit with spam. What do you use for your wordpress sites that get comments?

I've been using Disqus on my wordpress blog. I really enjoy it, and the signup process is simple, through Facebook or twitter I believe. Also I love it because you don't really get any automated spam like before.

I also use Disqus and it got rid of all the spammers, I currently have 888 comments aksimet did a good job though and protected my site from 4,079 spam comments but I didn't like the old comment system and I was still deleting spam daily.

The two popular plugins are Disqus and Livefyre, both of which not only prevent spam, but also make the comment system more social interactive.

Disqus is horrible because of the ability for easy spamming. I would recommend Livefyre instead.
