What is the best caching plugin for WordPress in 2026?

I have a website on shared hosting; I want to use a good caching plugin
I tried many plugins, but mostly they mess with CSS and ruin website design

based on your own experience and not Asking AI which free plugin is really good for speed and chaching ??

Based on my own experience lately, I dont think any do much for average sites. You can fix most speed and performance by doing other things.

I used litespeed with cloudflare but I think litespeed useless for that site other than 1 or 2 options since not on that server.

Just dont need to mess with many options and you can get 100% performance without them unless you have a lot of media.

Do you have specific issue right now, or just trying to orevent an issue?

WP Super Cache.

That is the absolute best option for your specific situation.

It is completely free, built by the team behind WordPress itself, and runs perfectly on shared hosting. Because it focuses strictly on caching and does not try to shrink or combine your code, it will not break your CSS or ruin your layout.

Just install it, turn it on, and leave the rest alone. It is the safest, most reliable way to speed up your site without the design headaches. :)

Indeed, I would not recommend using too many caching plugin in shared hosting environment. my experience show that things will work fine for me if I do not use complicated setting,

For me, FlyingPress works best. After testing many many caching plugins over the years.
