I'm having far too many issues with my current web host, and I would like to change hosts. I want to make the transition as painless as possible, and so I'm wanting the best possible backup plugin for Wordpress websites.
Currently, I've got WPvivid Backup installed and have taken a few backups with it. Do you guys think that would be enough, or should I use something more, in order to ensure that I can move all my content, settings, database information, etc to a different web host? What do you guys think?

I'm new at this, as I've used my web host for nearly a decade, so there's never been any need (until recently). I guess I'm just a little nervous about whether I will have any issues with either completely backup up all the data and / or restoring all the backed up data.

Also, as I used a TXT Record to authenticate my website with GSC, do I need to do it again with the new web host?

Depends on the hosting you're going to.
WPX migrate the full sites for you, they'll set up SSL all for free.

Upload your site to google? You guys must by cray!

All in one wp migration for me to, you install the plugin, backup to a file
install Wordpress on the new host, install plugin, upload file,

make sure your file is less than 256mb I think it is, or you need the pro version.
 
ask the new host for free migration service, sometimes new host give u one site free migration service, or pay someone to do the job for u.

I second All-in-one Migration by ServMask. If you're migrating or moving sites often, invest in the premium version. Otherwise, you'll be limited (I believe 250MB) with the free version. I have tested and used many backup/restore plugins over the years and this one, by far, is the best.

If you're moving from an apache based web server to another on say for example nginx? No problem. File structures are updated with restore process.
 
Thanks for all the great responses, guys! This information has really helped me to make a decision. My current web host appears to have magically resolved most of my issues last night, after letting them know that I'm very close to leaving and that I'd spread the word about very honest feedback, regarding their service in recent weeks.

To prepare myself, I'm using the plugins you guys suggested, just in case. Also, yeah, I wouldn't feel comfortable sending my website to Google Drive.
 
I am using WPvivid and happy with it. They are currently offering a 40% discount on all their plans.
