No doubt about it, The Best Spinner is the best. It has very frequent updates and you can even request additional updates and functions.
:tragedy:
What's the use of those updates, seriously, when the :crazy:maker isn't cleaning all the re-re- ... ... re-re-re-recurring bugs...:questionm:questionm:questionm
Give him a complaint, he will say he cannot duplicate it at his end...
The programmer needs to be very cautious and should conduct proper tests... else he should be a great visualizer and understand where the disease is when someone tells him the signs and symptoms... he is neither! (P.S. ... May be, giving due respect to his earlier capabilities which are sadly not visible anymore) If he is under pressure due to his other duties towards his Ministry work or family probs, he still needs to work more, a hell lot more than the 20 hours A WEEK he gives to his all sw programs and give his customers more attention, or at least give them an earlier working copy).
If he cannot get back to the earlier versions due to the modified codes and new features, he can at least incorporate some thing like this -- a loop saying>>> if customer is working with version A then use Module A (a module that works only on the features contained in that version bypassing the later modifications), if it is version B then use Module B, ... and so on. That way, his program will work for all versions, at least for the past few versions which the customer should be able to choose and carry their professional work without these current problems. But he is forcing his latest "innovations" on the customers with the forced auto-upgrades while those upgrades still have the earlier bugs repeated continually...
So from the complaints, he must/should be able to pinpoint where possibly/exactly the code is getting tripped...
He says there are communication-related sw problems. If .Net comes out with some refinements, then if he is using .Net, he should come out with better solutions --- quickly, and not blame .Net or other things which his sw is dependent upon. IMHO.
If you give him complaints that he cannot solve, or which will make his customers a bit more cautious about the capability (his sw/or him... your guess) then that complaint will get deleted...
New version, a lot of recurring bugs, loss of trust-time-patience-etc-etc-etc, and loss of money.
Try giving him a very simple and yet a very effective solution --- simply provide the customers a past copy/version of the sw that really worked while he works on new features on a separate alpha/beta version -- he neglects the request...
A real pain in a$$...
BTW, the last/latest version (at this point in time) again is buggy... and there is no point in telling him those... he will delete the complaint... yet again.
He says he is a Pragmatist and not Perfectionist...
Here is the actual meaning of "Pragmatist": Ref.: TheFreeDictionary...
1. Philosophy A movement consisting of varying but associated theories, originally developed by Charles S. Peirce and William James and distinguished by the doctrine that the meaning of an idea or a proposition lies in its observable practical consequences.
2. A practical, matter-of-fact way of approaching or assessing situations or of solving problems.
In his other blog-article he mentions that he is Pragmatist and not Perfectionist... well I have no objection to his being whatever... But in that article, he doesn't mention that his being a Pragmitist also involves enforcing a buggy version on his paying customers and not allowing them to either work with a copy that worked well, and thereby making them lose their trust and pull their hair in despair or disgust or anger, or all three combined...
Is he being a true-pragmatist then (in the above context)?
No, dear friends, I am not attacking him or his (once-)great software just for the sake of attacking. I am trying to put some sense into a bad situation for him, for his software, and for us (people who have paid him for the software, working people who represent those customers, and people who have helped him to create a wonderful "soul of his software" -- the Thesaurus, and people who can be spread all these problems with a very easy solution... I would be the first one to shake hands and say "Great, dear JL, it's really a job well done!", if he tries to really act upon all these serious matters -- soon).
